September 3, 2020 – NATPAC 1947, a bipartisan political action committee announced its endorsement today of Congressman Al Green (D-TX) for reelection to the House of Representatives for a 9th term. A veteran civil rights, social justice and economic empowerment advocate, Congressman Green has consistently fought for those in society whose voices, all too often, have not been heard.

“It is Congressman Al Green’s commitment to ensuring equal rights, opportunities, and protections for all of our nation’s citizens that NATPAC1947 gives our solid endorsement. We are particularly supportive of the congressman’s legislative work that of that serves to increase Black homeownership,” said Guy Allen, NATPAC 1947. The bipartisan political action committee was formed by Black real estate professionals with the goal of advocating for Black homeownership and opportunities for real estate management, investment, development, and fair lending.

Congressman Al Green serves on the House Financial Services Committee as well as the Committee on Homeland Security. On the Financial Services Committee, he serves on three subcommittees: Diversity and Inclusion; Housing, Community Development, and Insurance; as well as Oversight and Investigations, where he holds the position of Chair. On the Committee on Homeland Security, he serves on two subcommittees: Emergency Preparedness, Response, & Recovery and Border Security, Facilitation, & Operations. Within the Democratic Party he serves as of Assistant Whip.

Steadfast in his commitment to serving the communities he represents in Congress; Representative Green is a member of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) as well as the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC).
